Don't you think they should just cancel Law and Order SVU?

I mean, it was a great show, but for the new season coming up, Benson has a reduced role for only half of the episodes, and she gets promoted or something, and a new dective will take her place. Plus, The guy who plays Stabler said he's not going to be in the next season, so last seasons finale was his final episode! If basically both of your lead characters are leaving, instead of getting new actors, let ratings drop, and they end up cancelling the show, shouldn't they just end it now, so it ends still popular? I LOVED this show, but it just wouldn't be SVU without benson and stabler.
