Format samsung sv0842d hard drive ????????????????????????

I have got a Samsung SV0842D hard drive in one computer. When I press the power button, the OS doesn't start but it writes sth like "The operation system is missing". Then I try to format it, inserting a CD with XP service pack 3. After some processing, it writes "Press enter to install a new version of windows". I pres enter and then it says that a driver is missing and the installation cannot continue. What can I do?????
