HOW TO PASTE "SPECIAL" 07/01/11 TO TEXT?

I want to list every Friday for the rest of the year. So I insert 3 Fridays in column and drag down. Format under "Date" to Friday, July 01, 2011. I then want to "Cut and Paste" the "TEXT", all I can paste is 07/01/11.
